Good day, Kingdom Queens.

There is a connection between our faith, our relationship to God’s word, and our ability to rest. If we do not believe the Word, then we wrestle with resting. If we believe the Word, then in that place or circumstance we enter God’s rest because we stop all our “work” and trust God’s Word. As we enter the holiday weekend, I pray we add this nugget to our slated activities. Our “work” is to get to the rest, not to wear out from our own efforts. We get to the rest by conquering the unbelief…that is, any disconnect or weak connection between our faith and God’s Word.

This rest we desire says, “It is good.” It is the kind of rest that takes our hands off and settles down in the will of our very capable and trustworthy God. This rest sees the object of our “work” and yields it to the Father. No, it’s not easy to enter this rest…that’s why we use wisdom with our work. We labor to enter the rest. This rest.

Just a reminder to get off the hamster wheel of fruitless repetition and settle down in the rest. It is a remnant rest…a rest that remains for us. Let’s address unbelief and weak belief and enter in this rest. Yes? Yes!

Hebrews 4:9-13

So there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.
