Session three considers “show yourself friendly” from Proverbs 18:24 and “obedience is better than sacrifice” from 1 Samuel 15:22-23. We learn the context of Proverbs 18 the guidelines for wise relationships and in 1 Samuel 15 the meaning of God’s command — obedience.

Note: I made no comments to the contrast in Proverbs 18:24 that there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother because the emphasis is on the first half of the verse. But the contrast is present. Please share your insights below over the next month.
