Mark 16:15-18 (emphasis added)
15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (English Standard Version, ESV)
This entry is part prophetic warning, and part Scriptural reminder for prayer. I had what seemed like a vision in a dream.
Background: I first heard the warning through Prophetess Melissa Sanders about two years ago. It was the report of several prophets’ dreams about toxic water supply…before the Flint, Michigan crisis. Then we saw around the news break around the country where the water supply was contaminated. The instruction was to stock up on bottled water because even if there seemed to be a lull because of no news reports, the problem was to be more widespread.
My Dream: I held an open bottle of water and a lizard-like creature swam up from the bottom of the water and jumped out of the bottle.
I asked Prophetess Sanders if this was significant to her in any way, and she alluded to the earlier warnings. She suggested that what I saw could be an extension of the warning about toxic water concerns. (paraphrased)
What I want us to recall is the Great Commission from Mark 16:15-18.
It is the most important time in history (I think) to live the biblical principles we believe, as they are stated in the Bible. Our opinions are irrelevant; we must renew our minds unto the absolute truth of God’s Word. Our personal interpretations have no grounding where we do not ascribe to Scripture as the divine and absolute authority.
There was a time when the waters were bad, and the men of a city came to the prophet Elisha (2 Kings 2:19-22). Bad waters caused death and prevented fruitfulness. Here is what happened.
19 Now the men of the city said to Elisha, “Behold, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees, but the water is bad, and the land is unfruitful.” 20 He said, “Bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. 21 Then he went to the spring of water and threw salt in it and said, “Thus says the LORD, I have healed this water; from now on neither death nor miscarriage shall come from it.” 22 So the water has been healed to this day, according to the word that Elisha spoke.
