Good day to all. I pray this little note finds you all STILL SEATED and letting patience have her perfect work. It’s been an active several weeks for me, praise the Lord, and I am grateful. Now that a few ministry assignments are complete, I appreciate the breathing room to pick up where I left off in devotional readings. For a few days now, I’ve been mulling over a verse…and I think it’s time to share it.
Are you excited yet? No? Well, here’s a bit of perspective.
Outside of Christ, we lack and we notice our need. We are deficient and focus on how we will never measure up. We fear success and fear failure at times because the standard is impossible to reach…outside of Him.
OH, BUT IN HIM…we are who He is. Our union with Him means we take on His name and his nature…and in that miracle, we become a better version of ourselves! Hallelujah. The next time you look in the mirror — take in what you call your flaws…eyes too close, nose too wide, hair too thin/thick, hips too wide/narrow, bushy eyebrows, no eyebrows, big ears, short neck, petite, long-legged, etc. Take them all in and then present ALL OF YOU to the Lord because IN HIM you are complete.
That’s gonna take meditation time for many of us to undo the lies/error we believed for years. In Him, grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect, and even our weaknesses and flaws become trophies of transformation. Isn’t that wonderful?!
Look and live, Royal Ones. It’s still all good.
SELAH, and love to all.
