Welcome to the last day — day #10 — of Pentecost Prayer for the Body of Christ! Thank you for your support and more importantly, your faith and agreement. Now, let’s move ahead with acute awareness to be an asset and contributing member of the Body of Christ. Feel free at any time to come back and listen to the recordings, and if you’re ever in the area with any of these pastors, please experience their ministries live. God bless you!
Then they saw what looked like tongues of fire, which separated and came to rest on each one of them. — Acts 2:3, CJB All those trusting in Yeshua stayed together and had everything in common…Continuing faithfully and with singleness of purpose to meet in the Temple courts daily, and breaking bread in their several homes, they shared their food in joy and simplicity of heart, praising God and having the respect of all the people. And day after day the Lord kept adding to them those who were being saved. — Acts 2:44, 46-47, CJBUltimately, God is our goal — loving Him, worshipping Him, growing in Him, knowing Him through His word, serving Him, introducing others to Him… Unity is not a “somewhere out there maybe one day we’ll get it right” kind of goal. His power has given us everything that we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). He gave us the five ascension gifts to bring us into the unity of the faith (Ephesians 4:11-13).
We, in our local gifted communities, would do well to remember Apostle Paul’s warning to have no schism in the body…the members should have the same care for one another (1 Corinthians 12:25). Let’s be the change we want to see. Let’s decide with sober minds to get in line with God’s will and start with being a consistent asset to our local church. Amen!
