Welcome to our 10 days of prayer for the Body of Christ! Our journey begins Thursday, May 29th at 6am Central Time (7am Eastern Time). The prayer focuses will go out starting today, so you can prepare for prayer and meet our prayer leaders.
At one of these gatherings he instructed them not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for what the Father promised, which you heard about from me. — Acts 1:4, Complete Jewish Bible How blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness! for they will be filled. — Matthew 5:6, Complete Jewish Bible
After Jesus resurrected He made appearances during the 40 days He walked the earth. He spoke to His disciples about the Kingdom of God. (1:3) At one of the gatherings with the disciples Jesus gave instructions to not leave Jerusalem but to wait for the promise of the Father (1:4). How do you respond when asked to wait on the Lord for a promise that is on the way?
Day One Prayer Focuses
Our prayer for the bride of Christ is to:
- Stay in Jerusalem (position)
- Wait for the Father’s promise
- Have hearts that are willing and obedient (Isaiah 1:19)
- Hunger for God’s righteousness (appetites to be filled with His righteousness)
