Please accept this invitation to join us on the line tonight for The Queen Life Teaching Call. This year’s theme, The Queenly Seat, continues to encourage us to stay “in our lane” where God’s placed us…and not unseat ourselves nor let another (person, place or thing) influence or pressure us to unseat ourselves. On this call we look into another seat that might influence us in different ways.

Namely, the seat of the concubine. It is the seat that settles for less (for various reasons) when there is room for better and for more…with effort.

We want to be in the presence of the King for love’s sake, not because of what the culture says we need or should do. This time we live in gives great power to the culture and offers us the chance to get caught up in the cultural wave or to make a stand with the standard of Christ. As you think about whether to enter this phase of study with me, will you consider these three verses?

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (English Standard Version)

We all have a “such were some of you,” but in Christ there is real love, real liberty, and real grace to accept His love and extend His love…and rest in His finished work. These lessons that we will call “The Concubine Reflection” will reinforce some things for us and encourage us in our set-apartness. Join us!
