Love Comforts

Our God is the God of all comfort (1 Corinthians 1:3). He comforts us in all our trials so we can comfort others in whatever trial they face (v. 4).

Maybe love can get complex because we are not sure when to use which expression. After all, 1 Corinthians 13 gives us 15 expressions of Godly love (vv. 4-8).

whole heart in hands

This is a short reminder that hugs still work…and presence over speech can still be effective. Quietly consider who needs a little silent encouragement, and then be there as an instrument or agent of comfort.

If it’s you, then take comfort in the word. Someone can bring you a little hope today, and allow the comfort of the Lord to work through them.
