Sin, transgression, and offense create breaches. A breach is a break in friendly relations. A breach is a broken, ruptured, or torn condition or area.
Whether on the giving or receiving end, sin and offense create breaches. Where things were once secure, or happy, or content, now there is a hole or an opening. There can now exist insecurity, and other relatives of fear because of the new vulnerability.
You will rebuild the ancient ruins, raise foundations from ages past, and be called “Repairer of broken walls, Restorer of streets to live in.”
Isaiah 58:12 (CJB)
Cover means to fill up hollows, to clothe for secrecy, to hide and to conceal. That is what love does — it literally plumps up to fill the gap and repair the breach. Love acts as clothing to cover the naked place created by the sin, the transgression and the offense.
Covering is a picture of our salvation experience, and our deliverances along the way. We are dead, and our lives are hidden in with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3). Isn’t that amazing?
We are on the line tonight praying for women’s hearts and love walks. We will also pray for ministries to women and young women this month. Email those names to thequeenlife@gmail.com. Join us on the line at 8PM Central (9PM Eastern).
