Queenly Character
Some of us ascribe to the definition of character that it is “what one does and who one is when no one is watching”. Let’s get more specific.
From the Latin, character means a mark or distinctive quality. From the Greek, character means to scratch or engrave.
When we assume the task of studying Queenly Character, we consider that
- the royal nature of God is a mark on our lives visible to others
- the royal way of God is a distinctive quality we demonstrate through daily decision-making
- the effort of God to engrave His Word on our hearts joins our effort to renew our minds to support the work of regeneration
- the surface of our lives requires God’s scratching out His will in us for us to have a model of royal living
When He gave me The Queen Life to share with you it was not a catchy thing. This life is not popular because the pruning process is not popular…or pleasant. It is also not about building a monument to myself or to the work. I am committed to this life…and so are you. Together we sharpen each other and strengthen each other. We gain insight and learn feminine boldness in a way that reflects wisdom, honor, prudence, safety, judgment…all motivated by God’s love.
No, this desire I have to share God’s model of royal living is about His supply of a great need for a repository of information, revelation and useful tools. I want to do my part to encourage us all to bear fruit. That’s all. Without Him we can do nothing — not even live The Queen Life.
Be encouraged today. Know that we bear in our bodies the marks of the Lord (Galatians 6:17). Know that in all labor there is profit (Proverbs 14:23). Know that we are proving the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). Be convinced that the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Settle the issue that imperfection is another chance to apply truth. Agree with God’s will and plan. Open the door to light, and receive Him.
Receive this life. He will not lead us wrong. He will only lead us to life. Take a look around your life; we signed up for this, and He is making us worthy to wear the crown. This is the path to reigning. Let’s not negotiate now.
I love Him for this revelation of The Queen Life. I love Him for choosing me first. I love Him for honoring the heart that wants to obey.
