The Gifted Girl, part two

…picking up from where we left off…

The GIFTED GIRL cannot give back her irrevocable gifts and calling (Romans 11:29), regardless of frustration, ridicule, and/or negative experiences. Her abilities are beyond her. She is able to do many things well; it makes her valuable, not necessarily well liked or received.

The GIFTED GIRL requires wisdom, discernment, and the ability to say no without hesitation, guilt or fear of reprisal. Over time she learns wisdom (James 3:17) and the way to either shift the burden or decline the offer to overextend herself.

The GIFTED GIRL after a time comes into her own ministry by the will and leading of the Lord (Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12:8-11). She must root her identity in Christ alone to consistently conquer the internal struggle between her roles as leader and helper.

The GIFTED GIRL has a divine spirit of excellence (Daniel 6:3) that naturally manifests as perfectionism on some level. At the same time, there may be confrontations with anxiety, fear of correction, ambition and pride (arrogance, false humility, intimidation). She learns the social skills and care of/for people to match her level of excellence.

The GIFTED GIRL is a resilient risk taker. She learns to put herself “out there” to grow in relationships. She presses through fear (of hurt, of unknown) and tries again and again to express interest in connecting with others.

Last but not least (for now), the GIFTED GIRL is a foundational gift (Ephesians 4:11-16). She builds people, ministries, and any thing in chaotic disrepair. She sees through eyes of order, and cannot rest until all things are as they should be. The beauty of the Lord rests on her and establishes the work of her hands (Psalm 90:17).

There’s so much more to say about God’s GIFTED GIRL. Maybe the Lord will provide another opportunity. Either way, please know God’s heart for her and His desire to see her in wholeness complete the dominion mandate: “be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion…” (Genesis 1:28).
